At the end of each program, you have the opportunity to gift someone a free trial.
We receive many referrals from all of you. I greatly appreciate the time and thought it takes to convince a friend or family member to try us out and agree to give us their phone number.
Everyone today feels over-sold to the point that everything sounds like a scam.
We receive many referrals (hopefully because you think we excel at what we do) partly because we ask often.
And one of the most common things we hear is:
“I’d ask my spouse, but they don’t exercise.”
“I’d like my friend to come, but they hate exercising.”
That is EXACTLY who we want you to gift the free trial to.
The person who does not work out right now…
The person who has struggled to stay consistent…
The person who feels defeated by the idea of exercise…
The person who has started and stopped many times…
The person who thinks fitness is just “not for them”…
They may be a bit harder to convince.
They may have several reasons why it’s a bad idea.
However, they are the perfect person to gift this trial to.
Why?
Those people need this environment the most.
A lot of people do not avoid exercise because they are lazy, or don’t care, or don’t want to exercise.
They avoid it because they feel:
- intimidated
- uncomfortable
- insecure
- judged
- confused
- like they will fail again
That is exactly why a free trial can be so valuable.
It gives someone the chance to experience exercise in a way that feels more personal, more supportive, and far less overwhelming.
For someone who already believes in fitness, trying a gym may just be interesting.
For someone who has spent years believing they could never stick with exercise, trying the right gym can be life-changing.
The net impact is enormous.
Helping someone go from not exercising at all to exercising 2 to 3 days per week can completely change their life.
Helping someone go from dreading workouts to feeling proud they showed up can change their confidence.
Helping someone go from saying “I’m not a fitness person” to consistently training for years is a huge win.
Those are the people we love helping most.
So when you think about who to gift a free trial to, think about the person who needs a place that makes exercise feel:
- less scary
- less confusing
- less miserable
- and far more doable
That is often the person this trial was meant for.
P.S. At the very least, they will learn more about exercising in the first few sessions than they have in their entire lives.
Takeaways:
1. If someone in your life does not exercise or hates exercise, they are likely the best person to gift the trial to.
2. The ideal trial person is often someone who has struggled to stay consistent for years.
3. Many people do not need more pressure. They need the right environment.
4. Going from zero exercise to 2 to 3 days per week can create a massive positive change in someone’s life.
5. The best referral is often the person who needs belief, support, and structure the most.
